The Economics Committee is responsible for analysing current economic scenarios and forecasting steel demand. They focus on:

• State-wise steel scenario study with the World Steel Association (WSA), its structure, getting companies to share dispatch data and getting inputs on states

• The Short-Range Outlook on Steel Demand for submission to WSA.
